Soya Chunks Pulao Recipe

Let us first know how we can make tasty pulao from soyabean chunks. To make pulao from soyabean you will need.

  • One cup rice
  • One cup soyabean chunks
  • One medium sized onion
  • One medium sized tomato
  • Quarter cup chopped cauliflower
  • Quarter cup chopped cabbage
  • 3-4 teaspoons green peas
  • Carrots chopped into small pieces
  • 2-3 teaspoons chopped capsicum
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Quarter teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Half inch piece of cinnamon
  • 8-10 black peppercorns
  • 1-2 bay leaves
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • Quarter teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Half teaspoon coriander powder
  • Quarter teaspoon ground garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Desi ghee or oil as per need

Method of making soyabean pulao

  1. First of all wash the rice well in water and soak it for 1-2 hours. After that add salt and turmeric and cook it, when the rice becomes soft, filter it in a sieve and keep it aside.
  2. Now heat water in a pan and put soya chunks in it and soak it for ten minutes.
  3. After this, put four to five garlic cloves, a piece of ginger, cumin seeds, coriander powder in the mixer jar and grind it and make a paste.
  4. Now take a pan and heat desi ghee or oil in it and add cumin seeds and fry till it becomes light brown. After that add bay leaves, cinnamon and black pepper and fry it.
  5. After that add finely chopped onions and fry them till they become golden and then add garlic ginger paste to it.
  6. Then add finely chopped tomatoes and all the vegetables and cook it well. Cook the masala till the oil comes to the top.
  7. When the masala is roasted, add salt to it and mix it and add soya chunks and rice and mix well.
  8. After that add a little water to it and cover it on very low flame and let it cook for 3-4 minutes.
  9. After that turn off the gas, add lemon juice and serve it to the children or pack it in tiffin.
