Ingredients to prepare Paneer Bhurji
Paneer – 250 grams
Onion – 1 medium size (Chopped)
Tomato – 1 medium size (Chopped)
Capsicum – 1 medium size (Chopped)
Garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Ginger chopped – 1 inch piece
Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Coriander powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Pav bhaji masala – 1/2 teaspoon
Green coriander – 2 tablespoon
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Salt – as per taste
Directions to cook Paneer Bhurji
- To get the taste of paneer bhurji available in the market, first of all finely chop onion, red chilli and green chilli.
- Remove the seeds from the tomato and cut the tomato into small pieces.
- After that take paneer in a bowl and crush it by pressing it with the help of hands and keep it aside.
- Now put 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and keep it on medium flame to heat. When the oil becomes hot, add cumin seeds and asafoetida and fry for a few seconds.
- When the cumin seeds become light brown, add finely chopped onion to it and fry while stirring until the color of the onion becomes light brown.
- After this, add garlic paste to it and mix and fry for 1 minute. After that add finely chopped tomatoes and keep stirring them in the pan with a spoon until they become soft.
- After this, add finely chopped green chilli and ginger, mix and fry for 1 more minute. After that add all the spices including red chilli powder, turmeric and coriander powder and mix.
- Now fry the spices on low flame for 2-3 minutes. After this, add finely chopped capsicum and cook the mixture until the vegetables become soft.
- If water is needed, add water as per requirement. When the spices and vegetables are fried well, then add the crumbled paneer and with the help of a ladle, mix this crumbled paneer well with the spices.
- After adding salt as per taste, cover the paneer bhurji and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- After this, turn off the gas and add green coriander leaves and mix. Serve the tasty paneer bhurji to your guests.
