Ingredients to prepare Sev Bhaji recipe

  • 1 cup Sev

  • 1 medium size tomato (finely chopped)

  • 1 medium size onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

  • ¼ cup capsicum (chopped)

  • ¼ cup green coriander leaves (finely chopped)

  • 1 green chilli (finely chopped)

  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder

  • ½ teaspoon coriander powder

  • ½ teaspoon garam masala

  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil

  • Water

Directions to cook sev bhaji at home

  • To make Sev ki Bhaaji, first of all take oil in a pan and heat it.
  • Now add finely chopped onion and fry it well till it becomes light golden in colour.
  • When the onion becomes golden in colour, add ginger garlic paste along with tomatoes, capsicum and mix well.
  • Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt as per taste and sev and mix everything well.
  • Now let all these things cook in oil for 2 to 3 minutes. Do not add water now.
  • After that add 2 cups of water and let it cook on low flame.
  • Cook it till the tomatoes become soft and the spices start releasing oil.
  • After cooking well, turn off the gas and take out the sev ki bhaaji in a bowl for serving.
  • Now garnish the bhaaji with chopped coriander and serve it hot. You can eat it hot with rotla, paratha or thepla.
