Ingredients to prepare Gajar ka halwa
1 kg carrots
2 liters milk
5-6 green cardamoms
5-7 tablespoon desi ghee
Khoya (Mawa) – 200 grams
5-7 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon raisins
1 tablespoon almonds (chopped)
2 tablespoon dates (chopped)
Directions to cook Carrot Halwa Recipe
- First of all, peel the carrots thoroughly and grate them.
- Next, take a thick-bottomed pan and place it on the stove to heat. Once hot, add the grated carrots and cook them for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Then, add milk and green cardamom powder to the pan and allow it to cook. Continue cooking until the liquid from the carrots and milk has completely evaporated. Stir occasionally to ensure that the carrots do not stick to the bottom of the pan.
- After that, add sugar to taste, and if desired, you can also add khoya (mawa) along with desi ghee.
